Lunar Path is exactly what I like in a gothic metal band. Excellent female vocals by a gorgeous lead singer. Melodic and atmospheric metal with good keys (symphonic metal influence) that is not overly complicated but still has excellent musicianship. Lots of bass that is fairly high in the mix. Probably not as dark as normal, either.

Why Lunar Path is not signed is a mystery to me. They appear to have great commericial appeal with the beautiful and excellent lead singer Janica leading the way, and the catchy melodic gothic metal that has a touch of pop/rock to it at times. Will the EP Broken World be their breakthrough release? Check it out for yourself as all 3 releases (11 songs total) are available for free download at their official website. Recommended for all fans of melodic female fronted metal.
